🚨 A new achievement in pediatric heart surgeries at Rofida Hospital ❤️
With the grace of God, the first pediatric open-heart surgery using the minimally invasive technique (VRAT incision) was successfully performed at Rofida Hospital,
led by Prof. Dr. Tarek Salah,
Professor of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery – Qasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University,
and Consultant of Pediatric Heart Surgeries at Rofida Hospital.
The case was a one-and-a-half-year-old child suffering from a heart defect, and the surgery was completed successfully. The child was discharged from the hospital in good condition after only 5 days, thanks to God.
💙 This step represents an important leap in providing advanced surgeries with minimal surgical intervention, which helps in faster recovery, reduces pain, and improves cosmetic results.
